HexaJam – visual identity and food packaging design for a brand of honey jams and fruit-infused mead

HexaJam is a fictional brand I created for my portfolio as a showcase of a complete graphic and branding process — from logo design to the development of product packaging, gift sets, and web design.
The goal was to design a modern, clean, and easily memorable brand that combines honey, fruit, and careful handcrafted production into one cohesive visual system.

The result is a fresh, modular identity built around a hexagonal symbol reminiscent of a honeycomb cell, complemented by a subtly stylized leaf that connects the honey world with fruit-based products.

Concept and creative direction

The HexaJam brand stands on three pillars:

  • Honey-like natural purity – working with a raw-honey aesthetic, a subtle palette, and organic shapes.
  • Fruity freshness – accent colors by flavor, simple visual codes.
  • Handcrafted quality – attention to detail, small batches, and craftsmanship.

The logo and typography were designed in a minimalist, geometric style to feel universal and perform well across both small and larger formats.

Visual identity applications (mockups)

The project included a complete set of applications simulating how the HexaJam brand would work in real-world use. This includes:

1) Branding assets

  • Business cards

  • Letterhead

  • Document templates and internal materials design

This set demonstrates the clean, professional foundation of the identity — essential for building the brand.

2) Product labels and packaging

  • Label design for honey jams

  • Labels for fruit-infused mead

  • Variable color system by flavor

  • Minimal copy and clear product categorization

Packaging design is a key part of the project — modular, clean, and highly recognizable.

3) Gift packs (custom gift sets)

  • Foldable gift box design

  • Branding for the lid and side panels

  • Option for custom product selection

The mockups demonstrate how the brand could work in premium retail and gifting contexts.

4) Paper bags

  • Simple design with subtle branding

  • Combination of logo and accent elements

  • Visual connection to the product line

5) Web design – HexaJam landing page

  • Main hero section with a claim

  • Product categories: Honey Fruit Jams, Fruit-Infused Mead, Custom Gift Sets

  • Story section, CTA elements, and newsletter

  • Modern, airy layout prepared for an e-shop or brand presentation

The web design completes the project and shows how the visual identity also works in a digital environment.

Result

The HexaJam project demonstrates how a cohesive, modern, and fresh visual system can be built for a natural products brand.
Attention to detail, a minimal aesthetic, modular labels, and clean web design together showcase the ability to connect branding, packaging, graphic design, and digital outputs into one functional whole.
